St Lawrence Gold Maple Syrup and walnut puff pastry swirls

  • 1 sheet of ready rolled puff pastry
  • 159g walnuts
  • 180ml St Lawrence Gold maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar


  1. Preheat your oven at 200°C.
  2. Roughly chop the walnuts into pieces and mix with the St Lawrence Gold maple syrup.
  3. Spoon the St Lawrence Gold maple syrup and nut mixture on the ready rolled puff pastry.
  4. Roll the puff pastry from the longest side, and roll up.
  5. Brush the top of the roll with the egg and sprinkle the sugar.
  6. Cut the swirls about 3cm wide and lay them flat on a parchment covered baking tray, giving them space to spread a little bit.
  7. Cook for about 20 minutes or until the pastry is flaky and golden brown.
